Warehouse Assistant CJ Bell

With a wide array of professions within the City of Fulton, each department has its own needs for materials. Warehouse Assistant CJ Bell is one of the people tasked with making sure everyone has what they need.

CJ helps put out and gather bids, stocks the warehouse shelves, places orders, and delivers items to other city facilities. She’s been with the city for four years.

“People don’t realize how in depth some of the stuff is,” she said. “We track and replenish inventory while also trying to find best price and the best quality. Once we receive the item and enter it into inventory, we enter the requisition for payment. That’s a lot.”

While there are a lot of moving pieces in her work, CJ said her favorite part is the people she works with across the city along with local delivery drivers.

“I like interacting and talking with everybody and seeing their faces,” she said. “I can tell when some of them are having a good day and when some are having a bad day. I try to tell them jokes.”

Outside of work, CJ enjoys going out with friends for things like dinner, shopping at Amish and antique stores, drag shows, concerts and comedy clubs. She also has three tattoos.

“I like going to get tattoos, and we had a couple of friends go together,” she said. “I went with a friend when she got one of her tattoos and vice versa.”
